My Goodreads Review:

“This was an extremely entertaining read. The suspense that Natalie D. Richards was able to build up throughout the course of the novel was very impressive. I was scratching my head trying to figure out how the mystery in the story was possible, and the author did an excellent job keeping me questioning everyone.

That said, the ending of the novel was a little anti-climactic, especially when compared to how excellent the build-up was. Also, I was a little confused about some loose-ends.

Overall, this wasn’t a mind-blowing read, but it was certainly a very entertaining one. I have another one of Natalie D. Richards’s books, and I definitely plan on reading it soon. Definitely recommend this if it sounds interesting to you!

Characters: 8.5/10

-although a little 2-D, the characters were decent for a quick thriller novel; all were decently suspicious

-narrator was easy to root for

-suspense was ramped up really well

Pace: 8.5/10

-for a thriller, definitely not the fastest pace

-chugged along at a good speed to keep the suspense

Entertainment: 9/10

-easy to enjoy

-not mind-blowing, but solidly entertaining

Average: 8.75/10

  1. […] Five Total Strangers may not be the most cheery book, but it’s cover certainly gives off festive, wintery vibes. This is a 2020 YA mystery/thriller release that I really enjoyed, and it does take place around Christmas time during a huge snow storm. It’s very atmospheric and I highly recommend it.
