Do I recommend? Definitely!

Synopsis: Two boys question the society they live in when one of them has to pay for the other.

Oh my goodness that ending destroyed me….

That aside, what an amazing surprise this was. I didn’t have plans to read this anytime soon but was in the mood for a good dystopian and this one did not disappoint. It was fast-paced, had good characters, and the concept of the world was very interesting. There really wasn’t much to complain about. If you are looking to read a solid dystopian, this is one I think most would enjoy.

Characters: 8.5/10

-the characters alone are fine, not anything crazy

-the relationships/interactions between Sydney, Knox, and Marie were heartwarming though

Writing: 8/10

-nothing crazy


Pace: 9.5/10

-really quickly moving

-almost no boring parts–there was always some new action being introduced

Overall Enjoyment: 9/10

-enthralled, especially in the middle of the book

-last twenty pages were incredible
